Why study music in Wrocław?
The Academy of Music in Wroclaw is one of the most important centers of artistic education in Poland. Among our graduates are many outstanding artists who perform in the world’s greatest music halls, including Aleksandra Kurzak (soprano), Agata Zubel (composer, singer), Marzena Diakun (conductor), and Marcelina Beucher (soprano).
Our Academy:

Trains over 600 students in various programs: composition, conducting, theory of music, music therapy, instrumental studies, jazz & stage music, vocal studies, music education, choral art, and church music.

Cooperates with Wrocław's higher education institutions, as well as local festivals and cultural organizations.

Takes an active part in Wroclaw's cultural life by organizing concerts for residents and tourists, and by participating in city celebrations such as the Feast of Science, the Lower Silesian Science Festival, and many more.

Runs master classes with the participation of outstanding artists and teachers from all over the world, as part of the projects Masters in the Academy and Visiting Professors.

Has 10 music ensembles: the symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, avant-garde ensemble, baroque orchestra, and wind orchestra, as well as the Big Band and three choirs.
The Academy campus comprises 6 buildings housing various music faculties. Since 2013, the Academy has been using a new teaching and concert facility, which includes modern, well-equipped practice rooms and, among other things: The Concert Hall, a large The Rehearsal Hall, The Lecture Hall, The Ballet Hall, and The Organ Hall. The Academy possesses modern instruments and a professional recording studio, enabling students to develop their skills in truly professional conditions.

The Karol Lipinski Academy of Music is actively engaged in multifaceted international cooperation. The current number of partner higher education institutions in 25 countries exceeds 70.
Furthermore, in 2020, The Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw was awarded the Certificate of Institutional Accreditation by the European Accreditation Commission MusiQuE (Music Quality Enhancement), making it the first and, for now, the only music university in Poland to receive this recognition.
