The aim of the programme is to provide participants with knowledge and to enable them to acquire practical competencies essential for conducting early-stage instrumental instruction. Based on concepts implemented within the reform of the artistic education system, the studies cover a wide spectrum of related issues—from methodology and contemporary techniques of instrumental teaching, supported by specialist musical literature, to practical experience in conducting individual lessons grounded in an understanding of a child’s psychophysical development. Participants are guaranteed access to the Academy’s library resources.

The programme lasts three semesters and includes, among others, the following areas:

  • methodology of early instrumental teaching,

  • contemporary techniques of instrumental instruction,

  • specialist musical literature,

  • psychophysical development of school-age children,

  • practical training in working with children.

The programme is intended for graduates of first- and second-cycle (Bachelor’s and Master’s) music studies.
