The aim of the programme is to provide participants with theoretical knowledge as well as practical competencies and skills necessary for conducting ensemble music-making classes in first-level music schools. Based on the concept of ensemble performance implemented as part of the reform of the artistic education system, the programme covers a broad range of related issues—from arranging and instrumentating new repertoire for children’s ensembles, through conducting group classes, to addressing new dynamics in the teacher–student–parent relationship. Participants are guaranteed access to the Academy’s library resources.
The programme lasts three semesters and includes, among others, courses in:
-
fundamentals of organology and instrumentation for school chamber ensembles,
-
activating exercises and creativity-enhancing methods in group music classes,
-
psychophysical development of school-age children,
-
organisation and assessment of ensemble activities,
-
development of teaching curricula.
The programme is addressed to graduates of first- and second-cycle (Bachelor’s and Master’s) music studies.
