Karol Lipiński's piano
On September 19, 2023, the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław hosted the concert "Karol Lipiński's Piano," which showcased the patriotic and national dimensions of the music of our patron, Karol Lipiński, one of the greatest violin virtuosos of the first half of the 19th century, from a new perspective.
The concert featured the composer's previously unknown piano works – Chopin's Polonaises, Op. 26, arranged by Karol Lipiński for violin and piano, and Lipiński's works for solo piano – 3 Polonaises, Op. 5, Polonaise Pathetique, Polonaise in A major, and Mazurka in E flat minor.
The concert was attended by distinguished AMKL faculty: Prof. Julita Przybylska-Nowak (piano) and Prof. Jarosław Pietrzak (violin). The closing remarks were delivered by AMKL Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Pijarowska.
