Concert of the Laureates of the 1st International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition
The jury of the 1st International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition decided to award three prizes and one honorable mention.
First place went to Karolina Podorska, a doctoral student at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, in the violin class of Prof. Dr. Hab. Jarosław Pietrzak. The winner received a cash prize of PLN 18,000 and the title of Laureate of the 1st International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition. Prizes also included an invitation to perform as a soloist with the Józef Elsner Opole Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2024/2025 artistic season and a solo recital at the Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music in Wrocław.

Second prize went to Barbara Żołnierczyk from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. The artist received a cash prize of PLN 12,000 from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the title of Laureate of the 1st International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition, and an invitation to perform as a soloist with the Józef Wiłkomirski Sudecka Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2024/2025 season.
Third prize went to Milena Pioruńska from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, from the violin class of Prof. Dr. Bartosz Bryła and Dr. Karina Gidaszewska, professor of the Academy of Music. The violinist received a cash prize of PLN 8,000 and the title of Laureate of the 1st International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition.
Reika Sato from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de dance de Paris, who studied under the supervision of Olivier Charlier and Virginia Buscail, was honored with a cash prize of 2,000 PLN.
All the awarded violinists performed during the Laureates' Concert, which took place on December 2nd at the Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music. This special evening was met with thunderous applause not only for the winners but also for all the participants!
