In the presence of the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, Wrocław's Art Universities inaugurated the new 2012/2013 academic year. On October 8, 2012, the Inauguration Ceremony took place in the Leopoldina Hall of the University of Wrocław. During the ceremony, the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław awarded an honorary doctorate to the distinguished photographer Ryszard Horowitz. Representatives of distinguished first-year students and graduates of the art Universities received their student books and diplomas from the President of the Republic of Poland. Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski also spoke at the ceremony. The ceremony featured a performance by a jazz quintet composed of students from the Academy of Music in Wrocław and the Feichtinum Choir from our university.
