Ceremonial Promotion of Doctors and Postdoctoral Degrees of Art from Art Universities in Wrocław 2024

On May 13, 2024, the Ceremonial Promotion of Doctors and Postdoctoral Degrees of Arts from Wrocław's Art Universities took place.

The following received their Doctor of Arts degrees in the field of art, the artistic discipline of musical arts:

 

  • Barbara Szarejko-Nestor for her doctoral dissertation entitled "On the Music of Christian Denominations Present in Wrocław as Exemplified by the Repertoire of the Angelus Silesius Ensemble" (supervisor: Prof. Dr. hab. Helena Tomaszek-Plewa)
  • Tomasz Marut for his doctoral dissertation entitled "The Piano Works of Lowell Liebermann" (supervisor: Prof. Dr. hab. Paweł Zawadzki)

The following received their Doctor of Arts degrees in the field of art, the artistic discipline of musical arts:

  • Jarosław Podsiadlik for his recordings of the albums: Józef Zeidler - "Missa Pastorycya" and Reed Connection Trio - "Tansman - Szałowski – Ibert – Durey – Leclair"
  • Bassem Akiki for his recording of Paweł Mykietyn's "Concerto for Cello and Symphony Orchestra No. 2."
