Ceremonial Promotion of Doctorates and Postdoctoral Degrees in Art from Wrocław's Art Academies

The Ceremonial Promotion of Doctorates and Postdoctoral Degrees in Art from Wrocław's Art Academies took place on March 25, 2013, in the beautiful interior of the Leopoldina Aula at the University of Wrocław. During the ceremony, the following artists received their habilitation diplomas from the Wrocław Academy of Music: Paweł Zawadzki, Jan Jakub Bokun, Piotr Rojek, and Jolanta Konstańciuk-Sipowicz. Thirteen people received Doctor of Arts diplomas: at the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory and Music Therapy: Paweł Hendrich, Hanna Kulenty-Major, Katarzyna Kwiecień-Długosz, Paweł Łukowiec; at the Instrumental Faculty: Robert Adamczak, Robert Bachara, Marta Fender, Anna Pietrzak, Krzysztof Polonek, Julita Przybylska-Nowak, Miłosz Rutkowski, Gracjan Szymczak; at the Faculty of Music Education: Dominika Jaworska. During the ceremony, awards were presented to university staff. The representative of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Ms. Mariola Wiśniewska, presented Prof. Mieczysław Stachura with the Medal of the Commission on National Education, and Prof. Bogdan Makal with the Silver Cross of Merit. The next item on the program was the presentation of diplomas to last year's graduates of the Academy of Music, who received diplomas with excellent results. The ceremony was complemented with a performance by the Alfred Smoczyk Choir. St. Krukowski, directed by Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny.
