KRUWiO ceremonial meeting in the Leopoldina Hall
On November 15, 2024, a ceremonial meeting of the College of Rectors of the Universities of Wrocław and Opole took place in the Leopoldina Hall, serving as one of the highlights of the Science Day celebrations. Representatives of eleven universities representing all fields of science and art participated in the event. The rectors signed the Wrocław Academic Manifesto, which aims to strengthen the city's position as a European center of intellect and culture.
During the ceremony, the KRUWiO Award in honor of Professor Józef Dudek was presented to the initiators of the District of Mutual Respect: His Excellency Bishop Ryszard Bogusz, Master of Science Engineer Jerzy Kichler, Father Aleksander Mitrat Konachowicz, and Father Doctor Jerzy Żytowiecki. Twenty-four scholarships from the Mayor of Wrocław for outstanding doctoral students were also awarded. The ceremony highlighted the unity of Wrocław's academic community and its contribution to the development of modern society.
