"Vienna Blood" - Diploma Performance of Students of the Vocal Department, April 27-28, 2023
On April 27-28, 2023, the AMKL Concert Hall hosted two graduation performances by students of the Department of Vocal Studies at the Faculty of Vocal Studies. The students showcased their skills in a performance of Johann Strauss's "Vienna Blood," directed by Marcin Misiura, and the Academic Symphony Orchestra was conducted by Dr. Wojciech Rodek. The soloists included:

"Vienna Blood" is based on a libretto by Victor Léon and Leo Stein. The operetta's plot is set in Vienna and focuses on the romance between Baron Bon and Countess Zedlau. The story is full of twists, intrigue, and witty dialogue typical of operetta. The music in "Vienna Blood" is known for its lively rhythm, beautiful melodies, and the waltz, one of Strauss's signature compositions. The operetta includes many popular arias and duets, such as "Wiener Blut" and "Rosen aus dem Süden."
