
The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław with The Chair of String Instruments invite violinists of all nationalities to participate in The 2nd Karol Lipiński International Violin Competition which takes place from 22 to 28 October, 2026 in Wrocław.
Play the violin and win a contest!
- The competition is open to violinists born between 1991 and 2010
- The statutory prize pool is 77,000 PLN
- The condition for entering the Competition is to send by the deadline of 20 September 2026 a complete application including:
- A brief biographical note and curriculum vitae with highlights of artistic activity for the past three years;
- Copy of official document indicating date of birth;
- 3 current photographs;
- Audio-video recording, including a performance of:
- one of Henryk Wieniawski's Caprices, Op. 10, excluding Caprice No. 1, or one of Karol Lipiński's Caprices, Op. 29;
- one of the fugues with the preceding movement from J. S. Bach's Sonatas BWV 1001, 1003, 1005 or the Ciaccona from J. S. Bach's Partita BWV 1004;
- Proof of payment of entry fee of €120
The deadline for submitting applications is September 20, 2026.
The announcement of the list of participants is September 30, 2026.
