He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Economics at the University of Economics in Wrocław. He is also a graduate of the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory and Music Therapy at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław and the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne.

Paweł Hendrich's works have been performed at concerts and festivals in Poland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Estonia, Russia, Japan, China, the USA, Hungary, Malta, Lithuania, Latvia and Slovakia.

Paweł Hendrich's compositions have been commissioned by, among others: the Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music (Ensemble Musikfabrik, Basel Sinfonietta), Deutschlandfunk (Kwartludium), Goethe-Institut, BHF-BANK Stiftung and Ensemble Modern, the City of Wrocław (NOSPR), the Polish Institute in Madrid (PluralEnsemble), the Institute of Music and Dance, the New Music Orchestra, The Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra, the National Forum of Music (Lutosławski Quartet, LutosAir Quintet), the ZAiKS Authors' Association and the Polish Composers' Union (Pablostrom, orkest de ereprijs).

Paweł Hendrich has been programming in the Max environment for over a dozen years. Together with Cezary Duchnowski and Sławomir Kupczak, he forms the trio Phonos ek Mechanes, which performs live electroacoustic music. To date, the ensemble has performed at festivals of improvised, contemporary and electroacoustic music, as well as at concerts in Poland and abroad.

In 2010, DUX released Paweł Hendrich's monographic album Chamber Works, followed by Metaforma in 2017. In 2012, the debut album C+ of the Phonos ek Mechanes trio was released (Bôłt Records). In addition, the composer's works have appeared on several other CDs.

In 2024, Dr. Paweł Hendrich was awarded the title of professor at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.
