PhD Małgorzata Sapiecha-Muzioł
practical training and observation in choir ensembles
She graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław in the symphonic conducting class of Prof. Marek Pijarowski, Dr Hab., and from the Music Education Department of the same academy, where she graduated with honours, studying conducting in the class of Prof. Zofia Urbanyi-Krasnodębska.
As a conductor, she has collaborated with the orchestras of the New Music Forum of the Wrocław Philharmonic, the Sudeten Philharmonic and the Lower Silesian Philharmonic, the Wrocław Music Theatre ‘Capitol’, the ‘Wratislavia’ Chamber Orchestra, the “Ricordanza” Chamber Orchestra, and the ‘Cantores Minores Wratislavienses’ choir. For many years, she has been the director of the Academic Choir of the Wrocław University of Technology, as well as the Orchestra and Choir of the Stanisław Moniuszko Music School Complex in Wałbrzych, with which she actively performs in Poland and abroad. He is the Artistic Director of the annual Barbórka Festival of Academic Choirs in Wrocław.
In 2013-2015, she was the conductor of the Polish-German Young Philharmonic, an orchestral project bringing together young people from all over Poland and Germany. In 2015-2017, she was the curator of the ‘Choir Academy - Singing Poland’ project in the Wrocław and Lower Silesia region.
She was honoured with the Lower Silesian Province Marshal's Award for Outstanding Achievements in Culture ‘Wena 2013’, the ‘Lew Politechniki Wrocławskiej 2015’ award granted by the Rectors' College of the Wrocław University of Technology, as well as awards from the Director of the Centre for Artistic Education in Warsaw.
Her discography includes recordings of W. A. Mozart's Requiem, G. Pstrokońska-Nawratil's Kolęda się niesie, Symphonic Music with the Polish-German Young Philharmonic, and A cappella, Dzieciątko się narodziło and Pater noster with the Academic Choir of the Wrocław University of Technology.
In 2019, she obtained a Doctor of Arts degree in conducting.
