MA Angelika Wojciechowska

Graduate of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory and Music Therapy (specialization: Music Therapy), and the Faculty of Music Education, Choral Studies and Church Music (specializations: Music Education and Leading Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles) in the conducting class of Prof. Jolanta Szybalska-Matczak. In 2021, she completed a Polish Sign Language course (B1 level).

She is an active music therapist working, among others, at the Bonifratrzy Hospice in Wrocław and the Nursing Home run by the Przyjazny Dom Foundation. Since October 2023, she has been leading Music Spectrum at the Educational Center of the National Forum of Music, a new form of music classes adapted to the needs of children on the autism spectrum. At the Academy, she supervises practical training in adult music therapy for people with intellectual disabilities, palliative music therapy, preventive applications of music therapy, as well as clinical placements in cardiac rehabilitation. She also works as a librarian at the Academy’s library. Since the 2023/2024 academic year, she has been the advisor of the Student Music Therapy Research Circle. She has cooperated with the Association for Helping Children and People with Disabilities Razem Łatwiej and the Association for Parents and Guardians of People with Disabilities WŁĄCZENI.

She has actively participated in many conferences and events related to music therapy, prevention, and music education, including: the National Conference for Music Educators (Wrocław 2024), the Scientific Conference Soma and Psyche in Music and Therapy (Łódź 2023), events organized by the Student Music Therapy Circle and the Music Therapy Department of the Academy. She has also performed during two editions of the Lower Silesian Science Festival (Wrocław 2021, 2023) and at TEDxYouth@Tarnow (Tarnów 2021).

Over the years, she has taken part in numerous courses and training programs, including: Social Skills Training Course, Promyk Słońca (2024); Horticultural Therapy Course, Center for Personal Development (2024); Bibliotherapy and Fairytale Therapy Course, Center for Personal Development (2024); Occupational Therapy Course, Żak Training Center (2023); Certificate of Achievement: Solving Inequality in Education, Samsung (2021); Certificate of Achievement: Supporting and Engaging People with Autism, Swinburne University of Technology (2020); Certificate of Achievement: Introduction to Psychology: The Psychology of Learning, Monash University (2020).
