PhD Grzegorz Wierzba

Born on 6 May 1978. Composer, teacher, lecturer at the Academy of Music in Wrocław, which he graduated from in 2006 in the composition class of Prof. Jan Antoni Wichrowski. Since 2010, he has been an honorary member of the Polish Double Bass Players Association. In 2014, he obtained a Doctor of Arts degree in composition and music theory, specialising in composition. Since 2015, he has been teaching theory at the 1st degree State Music School in Świdnica. In 2015-2018, he also taught theory at the 2nd degree State Music School in Świdnica. He received an honourable mention at the International Composition Competition of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016. He has been a member of the jury in numerous competitions for children and young people. He collaborates with a number of Polish and foreign composers. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Polish Composers' Union
