Dean of the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory and Music Therapy. He is a graduate of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. He completed his studies in choral conducting in the class of Prof. Halina Bobrowicz (diploma in 1992) and symphonic conducting in the class of Prof. Marek Pijarowski (diploma in 1995). In 1996, he received his doctorate, in 2002, his habilitation, and in 2003, he completed postgraduate studies in Culture Management at the Jagiellonian University. In January 2009, he received the title of professor in the field of musical arts from the President of the Republic of Poland.
Since graduating in 1992, he has been associated with the Wroclaw Academy of Music. For many years he worked at the Faculty of Music Education, teaching conducting, and is currently a professor at the Faculty of Composition, Music Theory, Conducting and Music Therapy, a member of the Conducting Department, and teaches symphonic conducting. He is the organisational director of the Adam Kopyciński National Competition for Conducting Students, and in October 2019 he was appointed to the Council for Musical Arts. In 2016–2020, he served as Chairman of the Faculty Election Committee, in 2013 he was appointed to the Faculty Committee for Science, and in the 2012–2016 term he was a member of the AMKL Senate.
