Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1983, he began violin studies at age 4 under his father Enrique Danowicz, a violinist and pedagogue. He graduated with distinction from the Toulouse Conservatory (class of Prof. Gilles Colliard), later earning a Master of Arts degree at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied under Julia and Krzysztof Jakowicz. He also completed a Bachelor’s degree in conducting (Prof. Antoni Wit, Prof. Tomasz Bugaj).
Laureate of 3rd Prize at the 4th Tadeusz Wroński International Solo Violin Competition (Warsaw, 2009) and 1st Prize at the Duxbury Music Festival Chamber Music Competition (USA, 2010). Since 2010 he has been Concertmaster of the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra in Wrocław, where he also regularly appears as soloist and conductor.
He co-founded the NFM Leopoldinum Soloists Trio, later studying chamber music under Günter Pichler (Alban Berg Quartet) at the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid.
He earned a doctorate (2014) and habilitation (2017) at the Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he now leads a violin class. Since 2019, he has also been Assistant Professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. His recordings Made in Poland (2018) and Supernova (2019), featuring him as soloist, arranger, and conductor, received the prestigious Fryderyk Award.
He has performed extensively in Europe, the USA, Venezuela, and beyond, with appearances as soloist alongside major orchestras. He is co-founder of the French festival Musique au Léman and is invited regularly to international masterclasses such as “Danish Strings” and “Silesian Music Summer.”
Major distinctions include:
2009: 3rd Prize, Tadeusz Wroński Competition; special prizes for best UMFC student & artistic personality.
2011: Honorary Citizen of Sciez (France).
2016: Radio Wrocław Emotions Award.
2017: Wrocław Music Prize for Made in Poland.
2018 & 2019: Fryderyk Awards.
2019: Argentinos en el Mundo Award.
