Pianist, Doctor of Arts. He graduated with honors in instrumental studies in the piano class of Prof. Włodzimierz Obidowicz at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. He also honed his skills at international piano courses under the guidance of professors Wiktor Mierżanow, Andrzej Jasiński, and Ryszard Bakst. He is a laureate of international piano competitions: in 1995, he received Third Prize at the International F. Chopin Competition in Mariánské Lázně (Czech Republic), in 1999 he received an honorable mention at the International F. Liszt Competition in Wrocław, and in 2000 he won second prize ex aequo and the audience prize at the International H. Czerny-Stefańska Competition in Aigasawa, Japan (first prize was not awarded). In 2001, he also won second prize at the International Chopin Competition in Varna (Bulgaria). He has performed at the International Chopin Festivals in Duszniki Zdrój, took part in the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk, Talent Week in Tarnów, and the Internationales Musikfest in Kreuth (Germany). He has given concerts in Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, England, Russia, Finland, Switzerland, and the USA. He conducts piano courses and seminars and participates in jury work in Poland and abroad. He has recorded for radio and television stations in Poland and Germany. Since 1997, he has been an academic teacher at his alma mater.
