ear training

A native of Wrocław, she graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław in the composition class of Prof. Stanisław Krupowicz (with honours). As part of the Erasmus+ programme, she also studied in Italy: at the Conservatorio ‘Francesco Venezze’ in Rovigo (Nicola Evangelisti, Andreina Costantini – general composition, Marco Biscarini – film composition) and at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome.

She won first prize at the Intercollegiate Composition Competition for Students for her piece Sonet II for cello and accordion (Warsaw 2014), second prize at the 23rd A. Didura National Open Composition Competition in Sanok for her composition A cradle song to words by W. B. Yeats for mezzo-soprano and string quartet (2016), and was a finalist at the 9th International Composition Competition in San Francisco (2017). Her works have been performed at festivals and concerts in Poland, England, France and Italy. Her compositions Gdybyś and Hommage à W. W. for solo viola were compulsory pieces at the 8th Wrocław Competition for Young Violists in Wrocław.

She is a scholarship holder of the Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Province (2010), the Prime Minister (2011), the Minister of Science and Higher Education (2014), the Rector of the Academy of Music in Wrocław (2014, 2015) and the Mayor of Wrocław (2015)..

In 2018-2023, she taught music theory at the Karol Szymanowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Wrocław (2019-2023) and at the Kazimierz Kościukiewicz Secondary Music School in Świdnica (2018-2023). Currently, she teaches ear training and practical harmony with elements of improvisation at the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory and Music Therapy, as well as ear training at the Instrumental Faculty of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, with which she has been cooperating since 2018. Since 2024, together with Joanna Kołodziejska, MA, she has been the student supervisor of the Scientific and Artistic Circle of Composition and Music Theory.

In her teaching, she strives to draw on the richness of 20th- and 21st-century music. He is also interested in modern methods of ear training. In his compositions, he focuses primarily on details of sound and timbre, often using chamber ensembles and incorporating the cello and human voice into his works. He draws inspiration from the natural world, fine arts and literature.
