MA Artur Rozmysłowicz
viola, orchestral studies
Born in Warsaw. A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, where he studied viola under Professor Błażej Sroczyński. From 2004 to 2006, he was a scholarship holder at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in the masterclass of Professor Jack Glickman.
He is a soloist permanently affiliated with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic and a member of the Lutosławski Quartet. He has honed his skills with, among others, Pinchas Zukerman, Michael Tree, Stefan Kamasa, Stefan Popov, and members of the Guarneri Quartet, Takács Quartet, Heine Quartet, and the Silesian Quartet.
He has been invited to numerous music festivals, including: Warsaw Autumn, International Chamber Music Festival Ensemble, Wratislavia Cantans, Beethoven Festival, Organ Festivals in Szczecin and Zakopane, Łańcuch, La Frentana, Jazztopad, Pacific Music Festival (Sapporo, Japan), Paxos International Music Festival (Greece), Music on the Heights Festival, Chopin and His Europe, Musical Spaces, Tansmania, and the Klara Festival in Brussels. As a chamber musician, he has also appeared at theatre festivals such as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and SESC Belenzinho (São Paulo).
He has collaborated with the London Symphony Orchestra, National Basque Orchestra, Sinfonia Juventus, Polish Radio Orchestra, and the World Orchestra for Peace. He has performed under the baton of many distinguished conductors, including Jacek Kaspszyk, Gabriel Chmura, Michael Tilson Thomas, Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, and Yakov Kreizberg. His concert tours have taken him to most countries in Europe, as well as Asia and the Americas.
