MA Radosław Pujanek

First Concertmaster of the Wrocław Philharmonic. He graduated with honors from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in the class of Prof. Bartosz Bryła and completed postgraduate studies at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw under Prof. Iwona Wojciechowska.
He is a laureate of national and international competitions and a scholarship holder of, among others, the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Province, the Amadeus Foundation, and the Ewa Czeszejko-Sochacka Foundation for Talent Promotion. He honed his skills at masterclasses and chamber music courses, working with artists such as Wanda Wiłkomirska, Jadwiga Kaliszewska, Wolfgang Marschner, Charles Treger, Petru Munteanu, Trio Fontenay, and the Camerata Quartet. He has performed as concertmaster, soloist, and chamber musician in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
He has made numerous recordings and archival recordings, including those awarded the Fryderyk Award for Witold Lutosławski's Symphonies Nos. 2 and 4 (CD ACCORD, conducted by Jacek Kaspszyk), the BBC Award – H. Berlioz's Requiem (NFM, conducted by Paul McCreesh) and the international ICMA award for 2019 – Arvo Part Symphonies (ECM, conducted by Tonu Kaljuste). As the first violinist of the Lutosławski Quartet Wrocław, he recorded the album Witold Lutosławski Opera Omnia I. Chamber Music (CD ACCORD), which was nominated for the Fryderyk 2009 award and the Wrocław Music Award. Together with Łukasz Długosz, Katarzyna Budnik, and Rafał Kwiatkowski, he formed the FourTune flute quartet, with which he recorded an album of the same title in 2013, featuring music by Krzysztof Penderecki, Krzysztof Meyer, and Władysław Słowiński (NFM/CD ACCORD).
As a guest concertmaster, he has performed many times in Poland and abroad, including in Germany, Norway, Spain, Mexico, Chile, and at the Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt (Austria). He has premiered many works by Polish and foreign composers.
Radosław Pujanek collaborates in chamber music with artists such as Julian Rachlin, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Daniel Stabrawa, Bartosz Bryła, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Bartłomiej Nizioł, Radosław Szulc, Andrei Ionita, Jose Gallardo, Klaudiusz Baran, Agata Szymczewska, Katarzyna Budnik, Janusz Wawrowski, Jakub Jakowicz, Tomasz Bińkowki, Ryszard Groblewski, Michał Micker, Tomasz Strahl, Michał Francuz, Marcin Sikorski, Michał Rot, Rafał Kwiatkowski, Marcin Zdunik, Tomasz Daroch, Wojciech Fudala, and others.
Radosław Pujanek lectures at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. He has conducted masterclasses and chamber music courses. In 2019/2020, he was a member of the jury of the Wanda Wiłkomirska National Polish Music Violin Competition in Częstochowa and the 6th National Violin Competition in Cieszyn.
A promoter and lover of chamber music, he has also been involved in organizing concerts for many years. Co-founder of the OdraNocka foundation, he worked on programming the festival of the same name and, as Artistic Director, programmed the Kwarteneum chamber music festival. Since 2015, Radosław Pujanek has been programming the Chamber Music Series of the National Forum of Music. In terms of both artistic quality and quantity (approximately 25-30 chamber concerts per year), it is the most significant concert project of its kind in Poland. Between 2015 and 2020, over 100 concerts were held as part of the Series, with world-renowned artists such as Misha Maisky, Midori, Julian Rachlin, Garrick Ohlssohn, Piotr Anderszewski, Rafał Blechacz, Bomsori Kim, the Alban Berg Quartet, the Artemis Quartet, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Andrei Ionitza, Richard Lin, as well as outstanding Polish performers such as Olga Pasiecznik, Agata Szymczewska, Katarzyna Budnik, Janusz Wawrowski, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Tomasz Strahl, Krzysztof Jabłoński, Klaudiusz Baran, Marcin Sikorski, Krzysztof Polonek, Rafał Kwiatkowski, Marcin Zdunik, Jakub Jakowicz, Meccore Quartet, Kwartet Camerata, and many others. The Hagen Quartet has confirmed its participation in the concerts of the Cycle during the inaugural concert of the 2020/2021 season. The Chamber Music Series program to date has included many Polish and world premieres and first performances.
