Since 2018, Krzysztof Mucha has been the principal tuba player of Sinfonia Varsovia. Between 2012 and 2018, he held the position of tuba player in the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic. Since 2016, he has been a faculty member at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he teaches tuba, euphonium, orchestral studies, and chamber ensembles. From 2014 to 2018, he was also a lecturer at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań.

He collaborates with brass instrument manufacturers such as Melton/Mainl Weston, B&S GmbH, and Buffet Crampon. He is a member of Sinfonia Varsovia Brass, the Polish Brass Quintet, and Wratislavia Brass.

He is a laureate of numerous competitions, including the Grand Prix at the 8th International Wind Instruments Competition in Brno (Czech Republic, 2013), 1st Prize at the 6th International Competition for Soloists and Chamber Ensembles in Svirel (Slovenia, 2014), and 1st Prize at the 2nd National Brass Instruments Competition in Katowice (2010). He has also received many artistic scholarships, among them the Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2012), a Scientific Scholarship (2008–2011), and the Rector’s Scholarship (2011/2012) of the Academy of Music in Kraków. He was also awarded the Scholarship of the Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (2010) and the Sapere Auso Małopolska Foundation Scholarship (2010).

As an orchestral musician, he has performed with ensembles such as the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Polish Radio Orchestra, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Kraków, the Polish National Opera, Capella Cracoviensis, the Łódź Philharmonic, Sinfonietta Cracovia, the Kraków Philharmonic, the Pomeranian Philharmonic, the Silesian Opera, and Aukso Chamber Orchestra. He has had the honor of performing in numerous concerts and tours in Poland and abroad under the baton of distinguished conductors and composers, including Charles Dutoit, Sir Neville Marriner, Giancarlo Guerrero, Christoph Eschenbach, Leonard Slatkin, Marc Minkowski, Alexander Liebreich, JoAnn Falletta, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Krzysztof Penderecki, Stanisław Skrowaczewski, Gabriel Chmura, and Jacek Kasprzyk.

He has successfully auditioned for prestigious youth orchestras such as the Civic Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, and I, Culture Orchestra.
