PhD Monika Hanus-Kobus

Born on November 5, 1990, in Zielona Góra. She began piano studies at the age of seven, first under Halina Skałecka at the Mieczysław Karłowicz State School of Music in Zielona Góra, and later with Professor Karol Schmidt. She graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in 2015 in the piano class of Professor Grzegorz Kurzyński, and in 2019 completed doctoral studies in chamber music under Professor Helena Furmanowicz-Kurzyńska.

She is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions. Recent successes include: 2nd Prize at the Academic Chamber Ensemble Competition (Wrocław, 2017), 2nd Prize at the “Grand Prize Virtuoso” International Music Competition (London, 2017), 3rd Prize at the National Chamber Music Tournament (Bydgoszcz, 2015), and 1st Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Chieri (Italy, 2014).

As a chamber pianist, she has received distinctions such as Best Pianist Awards at the 12th Young Cellists Competition (Wrocław, 2017), the 10th Michał Spisak International Competition (Dąbrowa Górnicza, 2017), and the 7th National Trumpet Festival (Kalisz, 2014).

She has been accompanist at leading international competitions, including the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, the Prague Spring International Competition, and the Jeju Brass Competition (South Korea). She has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Gábor Tarkövi (trumpet), Gábor Varga (clarinet), Pierre Genisson (clarinet), and Vitor Fernandes (clarinet).
