PhD Piotr Bugaj

He graduated with honors from the Instrumental Department of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he studied trumpet under Prof. Igor Cecocho.

He was a laureate of the National Trumpet Festival in Kalisz (first prize in 1996), a finalist in the International Brass Instrument Competition in Gdańsk (1996), and a participant in the International Prague Spring Competition (1997). He began working with the Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra in 1996.

From 1999 to 2001, he was the principal trumpeter of the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra, with which he toured abroad many times, performing with outstanding conductors and soloists and participating in numerous recordings. Since 2002, he has been a soloist with the Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra. He also teaches trumpet at the Ryszard Bukowski Secondary Music School in Wrocław and lectures at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he obtained his Doctor of Arts degree in 2016.

Drawing on over twenty years of experience as an orchestral musician, he also conducts the Wind Orchestra at the Secondary Music School in Wrocław and the Wind Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Wrocław.
