He graduated from the Belarusian Academy of Music in Minsk (class of Prof. N. Volkov). In 1979-90, he was a soloist with the Grand Theatre Symphony Orchestra in Minsk, and from 1986 to 1990, he lectured at the Belarusian Academy of Music.

He has won several trumpet competitions. In October 1990, he took up teaching trumpet at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, and since 2006 at the Academy of Music in Łódź. In 1992-2006, he was a soloist with the Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra.

He is very active as a soloist in Poland and abroad, playing both contemporary and historical trumpets. He has performed with most Polish symphony and chamber orchestras (including Sinfonia Varsovia) under the baton of such conductors as Jerzy Maksymiuk, Robert Satanowski, Reinhard Seehafer (Germany), Larry Livingston (USA), Martin Hardy (England), Nikolai Dyadiura (Ukraine), Marek Pijarowski, Jerzy Salwarowski and others.

As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with such outstanding musicians as Emma Kirkby, Crispian Steele-Perkins, Paul Esswood, Gillian Keith and Daniel Stabrawa. He has made numerous solo recordings for radio, television and on CD. He is a premiere performer of works by contemporary composers, gives masterclasses and his students include winners of national and international competitions.
