work with pianist, chamber ensemble
She was born in Wrocław into a family of musicians who made a significant contribution to education in Wrocław and to culture in Lower Silesia and Poland. Both her parents were lecturers at the State Higher School of Music, now the Academy of Music in Wrocław.
She began her first piano lessons at the age of five under her mother's guidance, supplementing her primary school education with violin lessons and, in high school, with harpsichord lessons. She studied at the State Higher School of Music in Wrocław, now the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music, in the piano class of doc. Andrzej Głosz, and at the same time at the Faculty of Composition and Music Theory from 1976 to 1980. She has participated ten times in Master Piano Courses under the direction of Prof. Wiktor Mierżanov at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.
She has been employed at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław since October 1, 1981 as a pianist and chamber musician, currently teaching piano duets, piano trios, and accompaniment, and for several years also for Erasmus students, and accompanies students at the instrumental and vocal departments.
She holds a postdoctoral degree in instrumental performance and is employed as a university professor.
She performs in Poland, Italy (including Milan) and Germany (including Berlin).
During her career as a chamber pianist, she has collaborated with outstanding instrumentalists such as Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Jadwiga Kaliszewska, Bartłomiej Nizioł, Agata Szymczewska, and, above all, she has performed for many years in recitals with Stefan Kamasa, the most outstanding violist of the 20th century. In addition, she has collaborated with renowned international instrumentalists, including violinists from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow: Oleg Krysa (also Juliard School of Music New York), Marina Jaszwili, Sergei Kravchenko, Igor Frolov; Wolfgang Marschner (Freiburg, Germany), Edward Zienkowski (Vienna, Austria); cellists Victoria Yagling (Pyotr Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow/Helsinki), Michael Flaksman (USA/Mannheim, Germany) and violist Kurt Levin (Uppsala, Sweden).
For nearly 30 years, she has been associated with the International Music Courses in Łańcut as a chamber pianist, where she performs in numerous recitals and chamber concerts. She has made many archival recordings for Polish Radio. She has participated as an accompanist in important international competitions: the Henryk Wieniawski Competition in Poznań, the ARD Competition in Munich, the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, and the Kulen Kampf Competition in Cologne.
She teaches piano at the Ryszard Bukowski Secondary Music School in Wrocław. She is invited to serve as a juror at international competitions (Złota Szybka in Kraków) and national and macro-regional auditions for pianists organized by the Center for Artistic Education. She was honored by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage with the “Distinguished Service to Polish Culture” award in 2014. She is an oil painter – exhibitions in 2003 in Oborniki Śląskie and 2013 in Łańcut. She has translated the books Am I too loud? by Gerald Moore (London, 1962) and Conversations with Menuhin by Robin Daniels (London, 1991).
