He graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he studied organ with Prof. Andrzej Chorosiński at the Instrumental Department and composition with Prof. Zygmunt Herembeszty and Prof. Krystian Kiełb at the Composition, Conducting, Music Theory, and Music Therapy Department.

He has completed a number of masterclasses in interpretation and improvisation, led by such eminent figures in the world of organ music as Julian Gembalski, Bernhard Haas, Hans Haselböck, Ferdinand Klinda, Ton Koopman, Jon Laukvik, Armin Schoof, Wolfgang Seifen, Józef Serafin, and Harald Vogel.

Dr. Piotr Rojek works as a professor at his alma mater. Since 2012, he has been the Head of the Department of Organ, Harpsichord, and Early Music. From 2016 to 2024, he was Dean of the Instrumental Department. He also teaches organ at the Ryszard Bukowski State Secondary Music School in Wrocław and at the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Wrocław.

The artist regularly gives concerts both in Poland and abroad, including in Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Georgia, Spain, Israel, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine, the USA, Great Britain, Italy, Hungary, and the Åland Islands. He also holds masterclasses in Poland and abroad. He has recorded over a dozen albums. His 2005 album, featuring nine toccatas by outstanding composers from the Baroque to the 20th century, performed on the historic Adam Horacy Casparini organ in Wołów, was nominated for the prestigious FRYDERYK award of the Polish Phonographic Academy.

Piotr Rojek was a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and Art, the Internationale Altenberger Orgelakademie in Germany, and a laureate of organ and composition competitions.

The artist has also received a number of awards and distinctions, including: the Award of the Rector of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, the Award of the Director of the Center for Artistic Education in Warsaw, the Bronze Cross of Merit, the Badge of Merit to Polish Culture, the Medal of the National Education Commission, the Award of the Minister of Culture of Ukraine, the Star of the Order of the Canons in recognition of his contribution to the restoration of Michael Engler's Baroque organ in St. Elizabeth's Basilica in Wrocław, and the Merito de Wratislavia Medal of the Mayor of Wrocław for his outstanding contribution to the city.
