MA Michał Michalski

Born in Wrocław in 1994, he has pursued both his artistic and academic career in his hometown. He graduated with distinction in 2018 from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he now continues doctoral studies and teaches in the Instrumental and Vocal Departments. Since 2020, he has also taught piano at the Karol Szymanowski Music School in Wrocław.
He performs actively in Poland and abroad, appearing at festivals in Turin, Trzęsacz, Warsaw, the International Festival “Bach at the Cistercians” in Wąchock (alongside Mischa Maisky, Georgijs Osokins, and Marek Toporowski), and the International Festival of European Music by Jewish Composers. He has appeared at the Gorzów Philharmonic, National Forum of Music, Wałbrzych Philharmonic, Wrocław Opera, Fryderyk Chopin Museum, Royal Castle in Warsaw, Bibliothèque Polonaise in Paris, Chopin’s Birthplace in Żelazowa Wola, and in the Liszt Society concert series.
He has been invited as lecturer at the Pianist Forum of Young Educators in Łódź and as a speaker at international conferences in Kyiv. He is the author or co-author of four albums, including his solo debut Michał Michalski – Piano Recital (JB Records).
Since 2020, he has directed the Lower Silesian Fryderyk Chopin Society, organizing over 25 events, including large-scale vocal-instrumental concerts (Mozart’s Requiem and Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross), methodological conferences, and since 2023, the Hochberg Festival and the Kłodzko Piano Competition.
He has been awarded scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the National Children’s Fund, Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe, and the Mayor of Wrocław. He is also a prizewinner of many competitions, including:
