She began her musical education in Opole, learning to play the piano. Her first singing teacher was Gizela Posch, under whose guidance she graduated from the State Secondary School of Music in Wrocław. She studied at the Wrocław Academy of Music in the class of the outstanding pedagogue Prof. Eugeniusz Sąsiadek, graduating with honors in 1973. She has won many awards at national and international vocal competitions, including first prize and the Gold Medal at the Francisco Viňas International Singing Competition in Barcelona (Spain) in 1975, first prize at the Jan Kiepura Competition in Krynica, second prize at the National Singing Competition in Łódź; she was also a finalist in the competition in s'Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands.

Already during her studies, Agata Młynarska performed in Poland and abroad as a soloist with the early music ensemble Complesso di Musica Antica, founded and directed by Prof. Eugeniusz Sąsiadek, participating in many important Polish and international music festivals.

In September 1974, she was hired as a soloist at the Wrocław Opera, where she had made her debut a year earlier in the role of Serena in Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. She also collaborated with other Polish opera theatres, including the Grand Theatre in Poznań, the Silesian Opera in Bytom, and the opera houses in Krakow, Bydgoszcz and Łódź, as well as foreign theatres, performing in many European countries, Cuba, Canada and the USA.

She has established close cooperation with the Gerhrds GmBH Artistic Agency and the “Pro Musica” Artistic Agency, performing in the largest concert halls and opera stages in Europe.

Her repertoire includes around 40 leading and title soprano roles in the most outstanding works of this genre, as well as many operetta, oratorio and cantata roles. Agata Młynarska was employed at the Academy of Music in Wrocław from 1975 to 1985. After a 12-year break, she returned to work at the academy in 1997, progressing through all academic ranks. On December 4, 2002, she was awarded the title of professor of musical arts. She has received many awards and distinctions for her artistic and pedagogical activities. She is a member of the honorary committee of the St. Moniuszko International Vocal Competition in Warsaw. She has been a juror in numerous national vocal competitions.
