MA Barbara Sas

She graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where she studied piano with Prof. Włodzimierz Obidowicz. During her studies, she won second prize at the Bach Competition of the Academy of Music in Wrocław (2000) and was a finalist in the Wolfgang Jacobi Musik Wettbewerb für Kammermusik der Moderne in Munich (2001). Since graduating, she has won dozens of awards and distinctions for accompanists at instrumental competitions, the most important of which is the first prize in the accompaniment category at the 5th Stockholm International Music Competition in Stockholm in 2016. She has participated in numerous masterclasses for soloists and chamber musicians. She has performed many times as a soloist with the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra, and as a chamber musician she has given concerts in many cities in Poland, Germany, Latvia, and the USA. As an accompanist, she has worked at masterclasses with professors such as Andrzej Bauer, Paweł Głombik, Jerzy Artysz, Jerzy Knetig, Dorota Sroczyńska, Tadeusz Gadzina, Igor Cecocho, Mieczysław Stachura, Szymon Krzeszowiec, Bożena Harasimowicz, and Bogdan Makal.
As an orchestral and chamber musician, she has been collaborating with the Lower Silesian Philharmonic and the Wrocław Philharmonic NFM for many years. In 2007-2012, she worked at the Wrocław Opera as an orchestral musician and vocal coach. She also works as a certified teacher at the Ryszard Bukowski State Music School in Wrocław. In 2020, she received an award from the director of the Center for Artistic Education.
At the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music, she accompanies the conducting class of Prof. Marek Pijarowski and Dr. Wojciech Rodek, as well as the trumpet class of Dr. Piotr Bugaj at the Instrumental Department and the vocal class of Prof. Bogdan Makal at the Vocal Department.
