Postgraduate Master Studies in Instrumental Performance

The aim of the programme is to broaden advanced instrumental skills, master new works from the instrumental repertoire with particular attention to contemporary interpretative trends, and develop proficiency in modern performance techniques. Participants are guaranteed access to the Academy’s library resources.

The programme lasts four semesters and includes the following subjects:

  • principal instrument,

  • work with an accompanist (does not apply to piano, organ, accordion, harpsichord, and guitar specialisations),

  • contemporary performance techniques,

  • historical performance techniques (applies only to harpsichord and early instruments: baroque violin, baroque viola, baroque cello),

  • repertoire studies for the principal instrument (applies only to piano, organ, guitar, and harpsichord),

  • concert practice.

The programme is addressed primarily to graduates of Polish and international music academies and universities.
