Charles Balcer, an organ student in the class of dr hab. Piotr Rojek, prof. AMKL, and dr Łukasz Kołakowski, received an award for the premiere of a compulsory contemporary piece (Prix de la création contemporaine) at the Grand Prix d'Orgue Jean-Louis Florentz competition, which took place on April 24-26, 2026, in Angers, France. We are proud to announce that Antoni Filarowski, from the choral conducting class of dr hab. Małgorzata Podzielny, prof. AMKL (tutor), and prof. dr hab. Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny (2nd teacher), received the following awards at the 20th National Choral Conducting Competition named after prof. Stanisław Kulczyński in Poznań:

  • 2nd Honorable Mention
  • Special Prize: invitation to conduct the Polish Radio Lusławice Choir during the Concert
  • Special Prize: for the best work on a motet by Francis Poulenc, awarded by the Chamber Choir of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz
  • Special Prize: for the best work on Michał Schaefer's "Heart! We will forget him!", awarded by the Chamber Choir of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań
