choral conducting

Doctor habilitated of musical arts in the artistic discipline of conducting. He works as University Professor at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he teaches choral conducting and directs the Feichtinum Academic Choir. Since 2004 he has also taught at the Ryszard Bukowski State Secondary Music School in Wrocław, where he leads the Orchestra, Choir, and Vocal Ensemble. He has collaborated as conductor with the Symphony Orchestra of the Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych, the Chamber Orchestra of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, the Symphony Orchestra of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra, and the Musical Theatre in Lublin.

From 2006 to 2008 he also served as Assistant Conductor at the Wrocław Opera. He has worked with Polish and foreign artistic agencies, performing with various choral and orchestral ensembles in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Poland in prestigious concert halls. From 2008 to 2017 he was Artistic Director and Conductor of the Cantilena Male Chamber Choir. He is frequently invited to serve on the juries of international choral festivals and competitions, including in Saint Petersburg (Russia) and Pons (France).

He has presented papers at scholarly conferences on music education and choral studies, including at the University of Sobral in Brazil. He was founder and Artistic Director of the Wrocław International Choral Festival Vratislavia Sacra as well as the Eurochestries International Festival – Lower Silesia in Świeradów-Zdrój, showcasing youth orchestral and choral ensembles.

He is founder and Artistic Director of the student symphony orchestra ArtBel Ensemble, with which he has performed numerous concerts in Wrocław, Lubiąż, Krefeld (Germany), Vienna (at the prestigious Konzerthaus), Riva del Garda, and Montecatini Terme (Italy).

He is a laureate of many individual awards, including the Honorary Badge Meritorious for Polish Culture (awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage), the Bronze Medal for Long Service (awarded by the President of Poland), the Lower Silesian Cultural Award Silesia of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly (2019), as well as Rector’s, Director’s, and institutional awards from the Academy of Music in Wrocław, the Center for Music Education, and the Ryszard Bukowski State Secondary Music School.

Since September 2020 he has served as Dean of the Faculty of Music Education, Choral Studies, and Church Music at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, and since September 2021 he has also served as Director of the Ryszard Bukowski State Secondary Music School in Wrocław.
