choral conducting
Head of the Department of Music Education, Doctor habilitated of musical arts in the artistic discipline of conducting. She works as University Professor at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where she teaches choral conducting and methodology of children’s choir conducting with practical training. She is also the scientific director of the National and International Conferences Working with a Children’s Choir, which resulted in two volumes published under her editorship (Praca z chórem dziecięcym, 2019, 2023). In 2014 her book Shaping the Artistic Attitude of the Young Chorister was published by the Academy of Music in Wrocław. Since the academic year 2024/2025 she has served as Head of the Department of Music Education.
For 20 years she was conductor of the Con Brio Choir at the Grażyna Bacewicz First-Level Music School in Wrocław. She currently directs the Rondo Vocal Ensemble (since 2006) and has served as Artistic Director of the NFM Boys’ Choir (since 2009) and the NFM Girls’ Choir (since 2022) in Wrocław.
She regularly serves on the juries of national and international choral competitions and leads workshops and seminars, primarily devoted to working with children’s and youth choirs.
For her artistic and pedagogical achievements she has received 40 individual awards, including the Badge of Merit For Polish Culture, the 2nd Degree Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, as well as the Bronze Cross of Merit. She is also laureate of the 2023 Wrocław Artistic Award in the category of classical music “for outstanding teaching of singing, exceptional artistic achievements, and the excellent first season of the newly founded (2022) NFM Girls’ Choir.”
Her ensembles have won 90 national and international competitions, receiving more than 120 prizes. For example, the Rondo Vocal Ensemble of Wrocław (which often includes graduates of her children’s choirs) twice won the Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music named after Stefan Stuligrosz in Poznań (2019, 2022), the highest choral distinction in Poland.
