The OPUS Competition is a prestigious online event that attracts hundreds of talented musicians from around the world each year. Submitted recordings are evaluated by an international jury of distinguished educators and artists, and according to the organizers, the level of this year’s edition was exceptionally high.

The event took place on May 24–25, 2025, in Żyrardów, attracting young pianists from Poland and abroad. The auditions were held in the historic Ballroom of the Resursa, where participants had the opportunity to perform on a Shigeru Kawai concert grand piano.
The De Girard International Young Pianists Competition is an international piano contest dedicated to children, young artists, and students up to the age of 23. Renowned for its high artistic standards, it continues to gather more and more talented pianists from around the world each year.

Students of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław have been honored in the Young Talents Competition 2025, organized by the Lower Silesian Capital Club.
Awards went to first-year master’s students of the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory, and Music Therapy:
Majka Bakalarz, a music therapy student, in the category Achievement in Social Activity
Dawid Grenda, a composition student of Prof. Marcin Bortnowski, in the category Artistic Achievement
The Young Talents Competition is addressed to students and doctoral candidates from universities in Lower Silesia and aims to honor young individuals distinguished in fields such as science, art, innovation, social activity, sport, and entrepreneurship. Participation is not only a mark of distinction but also recognition of achievements to date and an inspiration for further development.
In this year’s edition, the Jury — composed of rectors of Lower Silesian universities, representatives of the organizers, and members of the business and academic communities — nominated a total of 18 candidates.
The award ceremony took place on May 19, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Aula Leopoldina of the University of Wrocław.
