Composers’ Concert “In Musical Symbiosis” – Students from two Wrocław art academies invite you to an extraordinary encounter between image and sound.

On May 13, 2026, an interdisciplinary event will take place, bringing together the worlds of music and the visual arts. All this is made possible thanks to the collaboration between students of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław and the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. The project, comprising a concert and an exhibition, will take place as part of the Student Sound Forum and is a unique attempt to blur the boundaries between the senses, where sound and image become one. The event’s program weaves a multi-layered narrative about memory, the hardships of everyday life, and the search for identity in a world straddling nature and the rush of civilization. Representatives of the youngest generation of artists fluently blend traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies, seeking new experimental forms of expression in their relationship with the audience.

During the concert in the Theater Hall of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, we will hear six compositions created through the collaboration of duos consisting of composers and visual artists. The music to be performed by young artists from the Academy of Music was inspired by paintings created specifically for this occasion. These works will be displayed at the Wrocław music academy.

The event demonstrates how deeply rooted the need for artistic synthesis is among the younger generation of artists. The exhibition and concert are not merely a presentation of finished works, but a process in which students from various universities exchange ideas and fascinations. It is a testament to art that is not afraid to question difficult relationships with nature, the problems of everyday life, or the weight of history, while offering modern techniques and a fresh perspective on traditional media. For the viewer, this is an invitation to a world where the senses do not operate in isolation, but build a new quality of experience—one that allows for a better understanding of one’s own position in time and space. In addition to works related to the concert, the exhibition will also feature pieces by Agata Kosiak, Ariel Rojek, Ewa Motoszko, Magdalena Król, and Paulina Musik.

The event is organized by the Scientific and Artistic Circle of Composition and Music Theory. The project was co-financed by the Municipality of Wrocław as part of the Student Activity Fund (FAST) program, organized by the Wrocław Academic Center.

We cordially invite you to attend!
