From 23 to 28 March 2026, the Akademia Muzyczna im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu will host the 5th National Adam Kopyciński Conducting Students’ Competition.

The competition was established in 2013 on the initiative of Prof. Marek Pijarowski, then Head of the Conducting Department, and remains the only event of its kind in Poland dedicated to first- and second-cycle symphonic conducting students. Over the years, it has gained a strong reputation and high prestige. Its primary aim is to identify the most outstanding young conductors from among the 24 selected participants.

They will observe the contestants working with the Academic Chamber Orchestra and the Academic Symphony Orchestra, evaluating their conducting skills, technique, and artistic personality.
