Wrocław, 14 September 2025 | Senate Hall, Karol Lipiński Academy of Music | Academic Chair: Dr. habil. Olga Ksenicz

The Scientific Session “Oratorio and Cantata Music in the Context of Performance Practice” has accompanied the Wratislavia Cantans International Festival almost since its inception – for more than half a century. This distinguished event provides a unique platform for the harmonious integration of artistic achievement and scholarly research.
Theorists, musicologists, educators, and performers share their reflections and discoveries concerning the history, performance practices, analytical perspectives, and other related topics within oratorio and cantata repertoire.

The session is organized by the Department of Vocal Studies of the Vocal Faculty at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław (AMKL) in cooperation with the Polish Association of Singing Pedagogues. The conference proceedings will take place at the Academy of Music in Wrocław.
