WBB Orchestra Project (Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Brno)

Free admission tickets for the concert will be available at the reception desk of Building E (entrance from A. Zelwerowicza Street 7–11) starting 3 January 2025.

The WBB Orchestra Project (Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Brno) is a unique initiative promoting early music, bringing together students from Poland and the Czech Republic. Joint work on Baroque repertoire performed on historical instruments offers not only an opportunity to explore the musical traditions of neighbouring countries, but also a chance for artistic development and international exchange of experience among young musicians. The orchestra performs works by Polish and Czech composers of the 17th and 18th centuries, in the spirit of historically informed performance practice.

As part of the project, three concerts are being held:

• 10 January 2025 (Friday) – Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz – Gallery

• 11 January 2025 (Saturday) – Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław – Gallery

• 6 April 2025 (Sunday) – Leoš Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno

The project is co-financed by the governments of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia within the V4Gen Mini-Grants Program of the International Visegrad Fund, whose mission is to promote ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
