Jazz pianist and composer, leader of the Grzegorz Ziółek Quartet.

Currently a first-year doctoral student specializing in jazz piano performance.

A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the piano class of Paweł Tomaszewski, PhD, DSc, as well as the Academy of Music in Kraków under the supervision of Dominik Wania, PhD, DSc. During his studies, he participated in numerous workshops and masterclasses led by prominent figures of the international jazz scene, including Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Dayna Stephens, Ron Carter, Kendrick Scott, Jerry Bergonzi, Aaron Parks, Christian Lillinger, Petter Eldh and Thomas Strønen.

He is a laureate of several major jazz competitions:

  • 3rd Grand Prix – Jazz Personality Competition, 57th Jazz nad Odrą Festival (with Grzegorz Ziółek Quartet), Wrocław, 19.09.2021

  • 1st Prize – Blue Note Poznań Competition (Ziółek Quartet), Poznań, 30.11.2020

  • Grand Prix – Jazz Juniors (Ziółek Quartet), Kraków, 01.10.2020

His discography includes the album Untold (Grzegorz Ziółek Quartet, 10.07.2022). He also performed as a pianist on New Challenge by the Łukasz Kokoszko Quartet (10.07.2018).

He is also a graduate of the University of Silesia and Sciences Po Lille in the field of International Political Studies, which he completed in 2024 with a dissertation titled Cultural Diplomacy as a Tool for Shaping Poland’s Image: A Case Study of Selected Bilateral Relations.

He has collaborated with leading Polish jazz musicians and performed on some of the most prestigious stages and in renowned jazz clubs such as the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Victoria Nasjonal Jazzscene in Oslo, Bimhuis in Amsterdam, Duc de Lombards in Paris, and Jazzclub Unterfahrt in Munich.
