"This topic is a continuation of research conducted in my master's thesis. At that time, I analyzed the open-world phenomenon in music and how the game form manifested itself in the 20th and 21st centuries. In literature, the game phenomenon is not specifically addressed, and we approach it more broadly by examining graphic scores or interactive works—at least that was the case when I began working on my doctorate. However, the phenomenon is dynamic, and many centers around the world are creating works based on games, whether platform games, board games, or more complex ones such as sandbox or open-world games."
