Title of the doctoral dissertation: The Search for Individual Means of Musical Expression in the Chamber Works for Cello and Piano by Henriette Bosmans

Supervisor: Prof. Lidia Grzanka-Urbaniak, DSc, PhD
Year of admission to the Doctoral School: 2021
Mid-term evaluation: 2022 — positive result

“The choice of topic stems from my interest in performing chamber music and from discovering the figure of the until recently forgotten composer Henriette Bosmans during my postgraduate studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. She is one of the many underappreciated women composers whose works have only rarely been performed in modern times. Her pieces for cello and piano possess significant artistic value and display idiomatic features that testify to the originality and individuality of her compositional language.”
