Paweł Szlachta

He gained his first stage experience in 2015, performing in a local production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro (Polish-language version) in Dębica. At the same time, he began studying classical singing under Jan Michalak, and later Dr. Alicja Płonka. Even before beginning his formal studies, he appeared on the stage of the Rzeszów Music Theatre in operetta and musical productions.
In 2020, he commenced studies at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław in the vocal class of Prof. Piotr Łykowski and Hanna Sosnowska-Bill, MA. During his bachelor’s studies, he performed in student opera productions (Zaręczyny przy latarniach, Wiener Blut) as well as in oratorio and cantata concerts, including Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Charpentier’s In nativitatem Domini, and Kilar’s Missa pro pace. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2023 with distinction, receiving the highest marks for both his diploma recital and his thesis.
In autumn 2023, he made his solo debut at the Wrocław Opera, performing the role of the First Boy in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. The same year, he began his master’s studies at the same institution, majoring in vocal performance and acting. During this period, he performed further stage roles, including Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro (Wrocław Opera, 2024) and Sesto in La clemenza di Tito (AMKL).
In 2024, he made his debut at the Warsaw Chamber Opera as Nireno in Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto. That same year, he received three distinctions at the 12th Jan Kiepura International Vocal Competition in Krynica-Zdrój, including the award for artistic personality.
In 2025, he performed at the Mazovian Musical Theatre (Jan Kiepura Theatre) during the 26th Singer’s Day, and at the Zurich Conservatory Concert Hall as the alto soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, alongside the Weisse Nachte Choir. He completed his master’s studies at the Vocal Department with distinction.
He is currently a first-year doctoral student in the field of vocal performance (solo singing).
