Composition competition for a compulsory symphonic piece as part of the 5th Adam Kopyciński National Competition for Conducting Students
After reviewing the score and conducting a discussion, the Jury decided to award the Main Prize in the Composition Competition for a compulsory symphonic work as part of the 5th Adam Kopyciński National Competition for Conducting Students Adam Kopyciński National Competition for Conducting Students, which is to include the award-winning work in the programme of the 5th Adam Kopyciński National Competition for Conducting Students as a compulsory piece (third stage – final).
The Main Prize was awarded to Hanna Rupocińska for her work SALTUS UNGULAE for symphony orchestra.
We invite current students and graduates of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław (class of 2023/24 or 2024/25) to participate in the competition.
Application deadline: 24 November 2025, 3 p.m.
Application form:
- paper copy of the score (room 010A, Teaching and Student Affairs Department)
- PDF score and application form – via the online form
Requirements for the piece:
- composition for symphony orchestra (maximum composition as specified in the rules)
- no solo instruments or electronics
- duration: up to 10 minutes
- the piece must not have won any previous awards
Main prize:
The winning piece will be included as a compulsory final composition in the 5th Adam Kopyciński National Conducting Competition for Students, which will take place on 23–28 March 2026. The works will be evaluated anonymously by a jury appointed by the Organiser.
The results will be announced by 30 November 2025. The winner will be required to provide orchestral materials by 11 January 2026.
Submission of a work implies granting the Organiser a licence to use the work for documentation and promotional purposes.
