The Studio of Multimedia Technologies and Recording Studio is an independent university-wide unit of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.
It is located in the newly constructed Building E and comprises a professional Recording Studio (consisting of two recording rooms and two control rooms) as well as an office space (Room 206E).
In addition, the Studio is responsible for the management and operation of the electroacoustic and projection equipment installed in the Concert Hall and in other educational and performance spaces across the Academy.
Thanks to its state-of-the-art equipment, advanced software, and qualified technical staff, the Studio of Multimedia Technologies and Recording Studio carries out even the most complex projects in the fields of audio recording, mixing, mastering, sound reinforcement, video projection, and recording, including online streaming on digital platforms.
Scope of Activity
Within its operations, the Studio provides electroacoustic and multimedia support for all artistic, scientific, and educational events organized by the Academy.
On a commercial basis, it also undertakes similar projects for external clients, particularly those held in the Concert Hall.
Due to the excellent acoustic conditions of the Concert Hall and its professional technical facilities, the Studio is capable of producing complex multichannel sound projects using surround systems, as well as video productions with live projection on the Concert Hall screen and simultaneous multi-camera recording.
Such events may also be streamed live on online platforms.
Recording and Production
Within its recording activities, the Studio has carried out — and continues to carry out — a large number of high-standard studio recordings (both audio and video: recording and editing) for purposes such as:
– academic degree procedures,
– examinations and competitions,
– teaching,
– promotional and informational materials,
– archival documentation.
Audio and video productions are conducted both in the facilities of Building E and in other Academy buildings, including the Theatre Hall, Chamber Hall, and various teaching rooms.
Responsibilities and Technical Support
In addition to providing multimedia support for artistic, scholarly, and educational activities — including concerts, academic sessions, symposia, conferences, lectures, music competitions, and working meetings — the Studio is also responsible for the maintenance, distribution, lending, repair, purchase, and inventory management of multimedia equipment located throughout the Academy.
Furthermore, the Studio carries out a variety of current service tasks on behalf of other organizational units of the Academy, faculty members, students, and doctoral candidates, offering access to specialized equipment, software, and technical expertise in the field of multimedia technologies.
